Pantera a better car then a Ferrari? Not even close. The Pantera was an overpriced, underpowered, unreliable dog. Even the Bricklin SV1 was a better choice then the Pantera.

The 328 is the best way to step into Ferrari's right now. Yes, the maintenance is harsh, but honestly not much more then any of the 80's exotics (Porsche 928 ring a maintenance bell?).

Unfortunately Corvette pricing has come WAY down since the C6 release. A 405HP C5 Z06 can be had for less then $30K everywhere, and high mileage examples are turning up for under $25K (there's a 75K mile 02 in Seattle for $22000 right now :( ). They will of course blow the 328 out of the water performance wise.

But when it comes time to cruise and get the ladies *ahem* attention, nothing does it like a Ferrari.

Porsche 928s aren't that bad to maintain. They do have the 50k water pump and timing belt intervals, but that's about it besides the usual. My Dad owned an 88 S4 for a couple of years, and it didn't have any problems besides a relay that had to be replaced. It was causing the battery to go dead if it sat for a few days.

I sure do miss that car. :burnout: :D

Here is my Porsche 928 experience (in ~1989). My neighbor had it for a bit and took me on some fun rides. :burnout:
