Bone head award goes to me!!!

Well as the title says it i'm as dumb as britney spears at the VMA awards...

I had 2 red bottles

1 had octane booster and the other had power steering fluid.

What i did was i put about 1/8th of a cup of power steering fluid in the gas tank... :punchballs:

No i did not put the octane booster in the steering rack..

I just hope it all burns out of the car with out any damage.

this is funny but I have no room to laugh, I got mixed up with my black quart bottles and started to pour tranny fluid in the engine of my cougar.  I stopped when I saw the color of the fluid.....:toilet:

It won't hurt a thing...May smoke a little if you put a quart in it...

I know a guy that was filling up his 4.2 v6 F150 when he noticed he was pumping diesel into it(was approx 200 mi from home)... He already had over 5 gal in it when he called me in a panic(was approx 10pm)... I told him he could either drain it(not really possible at 10pm) or finish filling it with premium and see what happens... He said it ran like a diesel and knocked severely on acceleration... Told him to keep his foot out of it and if it rattled to back off(was in the mountains)... After a 100 miles he stopped and filled it up again with premium which helped considerably, then filled it again just before he got home...  Guess it didn't hurt it he's still driving it 5 years later...

It should be fine. With as little as you put in you may not even notice the smoke. It may even be helpful in lubricating the fuel pump and such.

88turbo, tranny fluid in the crank case will hurt nothing if you don't leave it too long. I actually, intentionally, put tanny fluid in my engine a day or so before I plan to change the oil. It's simply a high viscosity, high detergent oil. Helps clean the gunk out of the crankcase.
