My custom 'rims' February 10, 2005, 10:11:06 PM I was so bored, had some supplies that are never going to be used again, and I'm too cheap to buy hub caps. I sanded down the paint on the wheels to bare metal, used sand paper from 40-1500 to get it to a nice smooth finish. Taped up the parts that were too hard to get all the paint off, pianted it black. Clear glossed the entire wheel, and tire(it lasts about 2 weeks before it needs a new coat) I've only finished the front right tire, it totaled about 9 hours to sand and paint it, including the time spent to take the tire off, two of the lugs needed some extra WD-40 to get off.I still have to smooth out that grease cap thingy and paint that, and sand, and clear coat the axle thinger ma bob.
