Side Trim

Ok, so I've removed my side trim, but don't know how to get the weatherstripping off.  I've tried goo-b-gone, and it doesn't work.  What have you guys used to get the sticky stuff off?

Spray some engine degreaser on there and let it soak in for a few then the sticky should come right off. Also you could use a plastic razor blade or a bondo filler spreader.

I use Aero Conquest to remove vinyl racecar graphics and a small bondo-type tool called a "little chisler". The Conquest is citric oil based but washes off with water. Any residual film will wash with a mild soap and water. It will remove oil from skin and plastic, and makes a great degreaser for dirty/sludge places like from a leaking valve cover or PS pump. It isn't corrosive like purple soaps.

Yea, That's what the goo-b-gone is, a citric oil.

there was a very thin piece of stainless steel between the adhesive and molding on mine. I removed the stainless steel strip and all.If you do this,it makes the molding more flexible and it wont curl up on you, like most old molding does.

Yes, but I'm not planning on putting the molding back on.  It's the pieces between the wheels.

No joke on this one, I know it works as I've done it myself.  Avon skin so soft will take it off.  There's also lighter fluid that works sometimes, and rubbing alcohol sometimes works.  I've had better luck with using skin so soft though.
