Anyone know anything about Rotunda Diagnostic equipment?

There is one of these              Ford Rotunda EDIS machines here at work for EEC-IV.  Word is it no longer works, I could probably get it for nothing.  You should see this thing, It has a connector to plug into every sensor on the car including an interface to go between the EEC and the car harness.  If it could be fixed, and I'm sure it could be this would be great to have in my garage.  I think there is a small hole of clear space it could fit into. :hick:

Anyone here ever used one of these things or know anything about them?

Rotunda's are awesome. I *may* be mistaken, but the one shown is basically a large code reader. I have a BEAR machine (Rotunda for battery/electrical systems) that works great and is massive. Doesn't do anything a new $30 10" box couldn't do though :( See what kind of features it has (for example, seeing the actual voltage range on the TPS), if it has a bunch of great diagnostic stuff like that grab it!

Those machines in the auction are the same as the one we have here at work.. and this machine does check everything down to the voltages.  Its like an amazingly big break out box that does more.  If you look both machines have a big arm with many different cables with adapters stored in the drawers to plug inline with all the sensors.

Make sure you get all the leads and wires. Those features are what makes it worth having. That's the only reason I bought my BEAR, it came with all new leads and so it checks everything. I can see the exact Amp output of an alternator, check the resistances in coils, and see the TFI/PIP working in time. So get EVERYTHING. Manuals help too, some of the stuff works bass ackwards to common sense.

I'm pretty sure everything is there.  I've seen a few of the connectors on ebay so if something isn't then I'll be able to find it.  I need to go ask the service manager but he is busy at the moment.

I'm sorry, not to be rude or anything but did you even read my  post???  I said we have one at the place I work at and I could probably get it for nothing..  I'm not buying the machines in that ebay link.. just showing everyone what it is.  Yes it may be obsolete but it will do whatever it was designed to do in the 80's, on an 80's car... AKA 88 TC.
