remove everything on the support then comes the fun part, drill out all the spot welds then remove. instalation is the reverse of the procedure

Don't forget to put in some sort of bracing before you tear it apart.

I did the same thing to a 94 cougar. here are some pics of what I did.
Start

After cutting it out.
The new one.

In the car now.

I bought the cougar for $200. Then I bought the hood, fender, rad support, rear trunk fake light panel, and all sorts of little stuff fo $100. Then the paint, ball joints, sway bar links, Nice Kenwood radio, tax, title, added insurance. I have about $700 into it. Well worth it just be patient.

Now, the support, is that to hold it IN our OUT ?? or both,

Doesn't seem that hard, the worst i can do is screw it up, and have some one else fix it yah !?

Thanks

the support would be to keep things from moving... weld it in before you start removal of the old

The support would be that big white metal bar in my pics. Look at the 2nd pic with the rad support removed. I put that metal bar in there before I started cutting the old one out. It helps to keep things in the right spot.

no no, i understand why the support is there, just wasn't sure if things were pr0ne to move out wards or in wards, but it's just an overal support.

doesn't look to hard after all, maybe i'll just give it a shot, and heck, while the welder is out, i may as well clean up some un used holes huh ?!

Thanks for all the help !
i'll have to take pics and poste em'
