Did you get the full line of free spyware removers and blockers?  I can send you the ones I use for my office if you still need help.  You may discover you don't need to format.  Jason.

Windows XP is the devil  Bobby Busche !

ah its better than anything else I guess.  I run two programs.  Mcafee antivirus and spy bot s&d  just make sure you enable the Resident feature.  I have no problems now....

Yeah, once it gets a death grip on you sometimes it's very difficult to get rid of it.  Im not one to be scared of formatting trust me, I do it a work now and then.  I can burn down the computer and getting the user completely back up again with all of their software within about 4 hours.  You can spend far more time than that screwing with the spyware  when it's stubborn.

Just for future refrence if you can go to techguy.org and dl a program called hijackthis.exe which takes a snapshot of your current system, then post the results for them, those guys can tell you exactly what files to delete, maybe even some registry entries.  Sometimes they don't answer everybody, too busy I guess.  They like donations I think, but they helped me few times and saved me from formatting pc's.  It's nice to format every great once in a while anyway.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

2 gig drive,  shiznit all my legal :slap:  music dont fit on a 2 gig, more like 40

Also that 2 gig drive will slow down a larger drive. It is more than likely ata 33 were a newer larger drive is atleast 66 probly 100 and very cool if it is 133

When the slow drive is accessed it slows the ide cable down to its speed,  slowing the other drives access,  but this only matters if you have them on the same ide channel,,

hmm,

*cough* Hijack *cough*

who said that?

lol getting back on track

I've used hijackthis before and it is great, only problem is if you dont use the advice of pros you will f up your pc.
