Console Question?

Well I have the little Consolette (sp?) thing in my cougar and I want rid of it.  I have a set of turbo coupe seats in my ranger that are in nice shape.  I plan on taking them out and putting my cougar seats in the ranger.  Now, I know I'll need to have a full console for this to work but does my car have the brackets welded to the driveshaft tunnel or am I going to have to fab?  From what I've seen in the J-yard the consoles have brackets that bolt to brackets that are welded to the floor.  Also are the seat tracks identical left to right?  I want to make my passenger seat power as well.  I'll be able to figure the wiring out easy...its my kinda thing.

here is the offical coolcats write up, http://www.coolcats.net/stockmod/modified/console.html
and it says that you need this:
Console itself
Back metal support bracket
Middle metal support bracket
Dash metal support bracket
Lighter panel
Storage tray (see below)
Switch panel
Console liner
Console lid and hinge
Console wiring (*NOTE: this should be attached to the underside of the console)
Wiring for the light (green/yellow and black wires)
Radio panel bezel for a console car
All related screws and bolts

it looks like it all just screwes into the floor of the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

That's about it.I changed to a full console when I installed my floor shifter.Under my carpet, the little cosole connecting tabs that the console brackets connect to with screws were already there.I had to cut the carpet. It was actually an easy job....much easier than I had antited.
