My AOD in the T-bird stood tough for 3yrs of abuse...AOD is more convenient and consistent at the track...T-5 is more fun...unless you drive in stop and go traffic frequently.

do the t-5 the car will feel totally different, I was very happy with the t-5 swap..

now if stop and go traffic is always in your daily driving scene than you might want to consider

I very happy with the t-5 swap. Will never go back to auto but I'm a gearjammer anyway.

Kickin' and stickin' is a hell of a lot more fun...but I was a "track rat" with my old T-bird, the AOD was nice for that factor...consistency...my cougar is a 5 speed and I don't plan on changing that.
