A/C conversion help!!!! Reply #3 – July 26, 2007, 04:16:23 PM They sell a kit at napa that has both thread on fittings, all the o-rings and pag oil.Not sure on the price but i've used them a couple of times with great succsess. If they try and sell you a reciever dryer it's not necessary to replace it even though they may tell you it is.I have run it with the stock dryer and all worked well. A/C conversion help!!!! Reply #4 – July 26, 2007, 04:34:13 PM Basically you need the adapter fitting that go on the R12 fittings. They recommend new o-rings might as well they are cheap. They next best thing would be to replace the orifice tube with and auto adjusting unit. Then it would work best if you put in a 94-95 stang R134a condenser. Don't forget to get all the old R12 oil out of there as it doesn't mix with the R134 like it should. Quote Selected
