ECC Troubles

Hello Again Guys & Gals,

I'm having major Ecc problems. First off it's a 87 TC, no major mods to speak of yet. I learned I had an aftermarket Ecc in it, and decided to buy another in hopes of better performance. I located the elusive LA ECC and today installed it and my car began a very rough idle, wouldnt get over 2K rpm's when driving, started popping, lurching basically didnt run. I read to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to reset the puter so I tried that with no luck so popped the original one back in. Can one of you tech wizards tell me whats going on?? Thanks for any and all help on this one, I'm stumped.  Heres pic's of my original and the new one including all the numbers and such on them.

By the way the listing I bought it from claimed this. I also have a 5 speed as well.

Generally they ALL have the E4 ID, that's the engineering  number of the plug...

If it runs OK on your EEC and not on the one you bought, all I can say is it's bad... I've swapped automatic 8UA EECs into 5speed TCs and they worked fine...
