FAQ thread?

Do you guys think we need a FAQ thread? I know some of us get angry when people come here and ask the same question over and over (ie can I supercharger this, will this head work with a stock motor, will Mustang headers work, ect.). Since people don't like to use the search function it *might* help. Then again some people don't even bother to look at existing threads before they post.........

*looks guilty and runs away*

But it might, Sometimes though we just like to re-clarify things or get an updated or more personal to the specific situation answer.

I admit, i didn't search for the supercharger question before i asked, Quick post before i left the house... My bad.

We have pre-existing posts?????????

For someone like me, who has no experience as a mechanic, and plan on changing that in the future (somtin i shuda dun a long long time ago), and with what seems to be allot of new people recently, I think it would be a great idea.
Of course, http://www.coolcats.net would be my first choice of research. :hick:

Sounds like a good idea. I would really be nice if it worked too. Instead of a facts section maybe just a Sticky at the top of each section with the most asked questions.

I knwo exactly what your saying,, its kind of like seaching is not involving you ,,your situation,, you as a person,,,, your setup,,, or who out there can discuss this with just me.

I dont think the world chat boards will ever invent anything that can come close to the human element we miss out on here.

If your at the point you know your reading a topic that apples to you ,, and all you really need is a voice of confirmation,, thats when its time to pick up the phone and call someone here.

i hate pm,, i hate chat,, i type too fast and my brain is wayyyy ahead of my fingers at times.  Ill cover a lot of distance in a short chat but in return, sometimes people do the same to me and it gets confuzzeling.  Id rather have someone give me a buzz than to chat or pm.,,especially when it comes to troubleshooting.
Repeated questions is the very reason why i created the DIY link above my sig.

Um....we DO have a Greatest Hits forum, ya know. ;)

And I don't understand what the problem is with the Search function. I just tried a bunch of different words and each time, relevant threads were pulled up. So...the search "problem" just might be a PEBCAK issue. :beatyoass:

I have a "Tech Articles" thread at the very top of my forum over on stangnet (my 2.3L forum), which is a sticky and quite clearly labelled, and still no one looks at it. I think part of the problem is the fact that it's 7 or 8 pages, and nobody wants to look through it.
