I have a new respect for J body's. Reply #15 – July 09, 2007, 06:03:31 PM Im not saying that i actually try to drift the 99 but one day when i was trying to pass some a hole that knew that the curb lane was closed ahead stuffed me. I had to slam the brakes and almost lost control of the 99, luckily i was able to bring it back. The weight and power have some to do with how you drift, not saying i know anything about drifting a fwd car, i did my share in the 87. That 2.5 can squeal the tires and i can brake them loose at times. Quote Selected

Reply #16 – July 09, 2007, 07:25:55 PM Lol the day I became impressed with J-bodies was the day I rode in one that had coil-overs on all 4 corners and an actually well thought out motor. The guy worked for Pacesetter, so he had a header on the thing running through a magnaflow ler right past the cat, then piped out the back. It didn't sound bad at all. It was the 5 speed, and he had an intake manifold and a big bore TB on it, and it could handle. Cool little car, only cheezy thing on it, was the hood which was a 4th gen F-body SS Camaro knock off.
