if you have the heavy stock cast headers then i would just say get some stock ho headers which you can get for like 35 dollars a pair or buy some bbk shorties which you can prolly get for like 70 dollars a pair.

I have a set of Mustang H.O headers in perfect shape,$45.00 shipped to your door.Quite the upgrade from the factory cast iron manifolds.

Yes they will work and with true dual exhaust it should gain about 15 hp. I would use a set for an 86-93 Mustang though. The 85s have the heat stove for the carb, which you don't have;)
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

i was amazed at how much the stock manifolds weigh compared to the h.o. ones. i think ford was sabotaging us from the start. :P

I have OEM '92 shorty headers and a Mac off road h-pipe...send me a PM if interested.

You should feel how much the stock cast manifolds feel next to mine. 1 stock manifod weighed more then the box mine came shipped in, WITH THE HEADERS IN IT!!! I snagged my Mac Equal leghth 1 5/8" headers on corral for $50 shipped.
