This is what saved the '80 XR-7 from winter duty. June 21, 2007, 09:10:39 AM '87 Scirocco 16Vhttp://www.turbochuck.com/images/Scirocco/Just%20home_2.jpgI drove it home this past weekend (the pics were taken after the buggy drive home). I had Sciroccos in the past (before I got into Fords) and was always kind of looking to get another at some point. It's not super "pretty", but I was wanting more of a driver and not some show pony I'd be leery of driving in the winter. Obviously as things need replacing I'll upgrade :hick: (I think the springs/struts need replacing....so of course I will just have to lower it a touch ...hehe). There are a couple bonehead previous owner things (like the ed hoodpins ) that I'll need to take care of, but it runs and drives just fine, AND has working AC. Quote Selected

This is what saved the '80 XR-7 from winter duty. Reply #8 – June 21, 2007, 04:58:41 PM Nice car. Not a big fan of the red though. Got 2 of my 3 tickets in a red car. Both times they could of pulled over someone else but they choose the guy in the red car. Quote Selected

I tried to get a CHERRY '84 8V car, but the guy never got back with me. It was brown though, but almost perfect inside and out. I was on limited funds that needed to include a plane ticket, so I made due. This one could clean up if I need it to, but aside from replacing the bad hood and front facia (spoiler) and perhaps euro bits (bumpers and headlights), I MAY (notice I said "may") not do much to it cosmetically.
