Looking for a new job!

Well, I finally put in my two weeks.  I can't stand it anymore.  I just ain't happy, and the pay isn't good.  I figure I should like my next job, so I'm looking at automotive/machining, since I like working with my hands and cars.  Since I start college next fall, I'm going to try to keep it during the year, at least part time.  The only problem......how to find a job that requires little to no experience?  I've hit every website, and nothing has popped up.  Everyone wants ASE cert.  I figure I'll start asking around at all the local shops and see if anyone can give me a job or a lead.  I'm just wondering if anyone on here has any suggestions.

Go to a lube shop. They don't require any experience most of the time.

My dad always told me,"If you want to work, there's a job for you".Perhaps you'll have to settle for another kind of trade (fast food, retail, pizza delivery, etc.,jobs that require very little know how) until you can find what you want.Personally,I would never leave a job without having something else to go to.Perhaps you should stay with what you have a little longer until something else comes along for you that can provide a big enough pay check to take care of your responsibilities.

Look into truck shops. I work at a truck shop myself. Most of the work is more labour than difficult.
It's Gumby's fault.

My local parts stores have young employees with little or no college exp.  however, the owners/managers do.  So getting yer foot in the door, learning brake turning, battery testing, alternator testing, etc... can be had on the job.  That's what my little bro did, then did a year of automotive tech, and came back for the summer to his job, then just stayed there.  Of course the parts discount and working out of his garage helps, too. My 2 cents.

im looking into something like you, but i wanna go into a shop as like a helping hand, and clean up shiznit like that cause being 16 they aren't gonna want me working on shiznit even though i know i can do some shiznit. Money is money, and being in a shop i can watch stuff, and pick up things before i go to college for it.

My only responsibilites are my car and extra stuff I want to do.  And I have a things coming up that make mid June the earliest time I can start.  Money isn't an issue for now.

I'm thinking lube shop might be the ticket, but I'll still look around.  I want to like my next job, so I'll be a little picky.

go to the court house,, pay them the 5 or 10 bux to open your buisness.  Put up a sign and they will come.  Work out of the house and make money doing so.
