a bit of blassphomy

blassphomy (sp?)

you know the buldge that the gen 1 and gen 2 eclipse had in thier hoods would look good on our cars? not in the mitzu fassion (the side of the hood) but over the turbo on a TC or over the carb on a 5.0?  it'd be really understated way of saying (my mods dont fit my hood) right?  or would it be just stupid to try? :flame:

Seems kinda too round for the squarish-ness of the fox cars.

yeh thats what i was thinkin... but im trying to get as far outside the box i can.  a regular cowl hood would say the same if not more of an a statement of "my mods wont fit the hood" i was just looking for a more understated one.  ah well.

i saw a nice scoop/bulge on a Nissan or Toyota SUV the other day that I thoughtt would look cool grafted on to one of our flat hoods (non TC).It's a matter of personal taste in the long run,and what you like for your car.I can say I hate it,or I like it,but you have to do what you like.I am building my car to my taste (which, luckily, happens to be exceptional....LOL).

Yeah, by all means, don't let my comments discourage you.  Hoods can be had for pretty cheap if you try it & don't like it.

Cheap hoods, good point Brian. If you decide to modify a hood,it may be in you and your car's best interest to buy a second hood and use it to modify, that way,if it turns out that you don't like it,or,something bad happens, you'll still have your factory, matching color hood to fall back on.I try not to modify parts unless I have extras to possibly ruin.Bad stuff happens whether we like it or not sometimes.

well, i'd first need to have to put that lil bulge on there if i needed to.  i mean say i went from my pressent fuel injected 302 and put a carb on it.  i MIGHT run into a clearence problem.  (might not, dunno) but if that lil hump would make it work, and didnt look bad, i could see tryin it, and i'd definatly try in on either an old hood, damaged hood, or just an extra hood.
