need some input

alrighty, thanks to tax returns, and me about to pay off my car, i'm gonna have around $1k-1.5k to work with, i have an 88 5.0 bird, that is completely stock, i was thinking of maybe doing some gears, exhaust, under drive pulleys, and maybe a little cosmetic work on(has dents and t-bird emblems were pulled off and a little rust where it's dented, also needs o-rings replaced),

what do you think i should do with that kinda money, cause i was pretty set on that set up for now, but now i'm thinking of maybe getting an h.o. engine instead of my s.o.? maybe i should save up and buy a better engine off of summit that comes forged and such? and if i do buy a forged engine, what kinda install issues am i looking at for bigger shortblock and for a longblock? well, let me know, you guys know what your doing, and i'm looking for input, so that's why i came to yall, thanks all

Buy up a stock HO out of a stang, you'll be more satisfied with the 75hp extra you'll get out of that completly stock than you will with any performance parts you put on the SO,believe me i know I tried it with my last bird.
