Converting to 5 lug January 25, 2005, 11:00:17 PM Hey guys what is the cheapest way to convert to 5 lug? For the front I already have the mustang spindles and 5 lug rotors. For the rear end I got a 89 mustang diff 8.8 I heard ranger axles will work but not sure. Will any other axles from other cars be interchangable thanks guys lmk. Quote Selected
Re: Converting to 5 lug Reply #1 – January 25, 2005, 11:58:19 PM Using the Ranger axles will pull the wheels in 3/4" on each side. The 94-98 Mustangs axles are the same length as the TBirds. I'm not 100% certain (haven't messed with drums on a Fox in a while), but I think the TBirds and Mustangs use the same drums, if that's the case, then you "should" be able to use the SN-95 Mustang axles and a pair of Ranger drums (you might need to turn down the "hub" on the center of the axles to fit the smaller holes in the drums) Quote Selected
