Lowering my car

I am going to lower my 87 tbird with a 5.0. I am going to lower it 1 1/2, i also want to get some off set steering rack bushings. Can i order some off set steering rack bushings for a 5.0 mustang?? Or do i have to get them for a Tbird?? Thanks

Don't bother with offset rack bushings, you don't need them.....plus they won't fit on a Thunderbird as the fluid lines interfere with the motor mount bracket on the driver side....at least they do on a TC so I'll assume the same will apply on a regular Thunderbird.

Pro Kit Lowering Springs or something like that I found them in a clerance section of a mustang shop. They are going for a real good price and are said to be preatty good. Thanks for the reply!

They fit on my 87 3.8 Cougar. But it was a waste of time because they did nothing.

I lowered my 88 coougar 1.5 in and went to a 235/60/R15. That is about as big as I can go on the back because of the fender lip.
