floor jacks. what do you have Reply #1 – February 21, 2007, 12:22:52 PM If You talk of a little 2 tons floor jacks, I have 3 from Canadian Tire at 30$ each, and it work fine, not fast, but strong enough for a car...Okay, You will crank more times to level at 6" heigh compare to My "Michelin" branded at 289$, the last one crank 2" at each crank, but the little ones (30$ each) do the job, it's honest for the price...Have a nice Day,Dom. floor jacks. what do you have Reply #3 – February 21, 2007, 02:32:31 PM I have a Michelin branded 3-ton jack from Sam's Club, my brother had one and it was pretty decent so I picked one up too because they're pretty cheap. $90-something I think. It's one of the kind that only takes one or two pumps to reach the chassis which is handy, but otherwise there's nothing special about it. I don't expect it to last forever either (because I have yet to see a jack that doesn't start leaking after a couple years) Quote Selected

floor jacks. what do you have Reply #5 – February 21, 2007, 03:09:11 PM I have a little 2 ton that gets to just over 13 inches. I want to upgrade (if the wife permits) to at least a 14" max height. Anything much bigger than that is too heavy to keep in the trunk of the cougar. Quote Selected

I've never had to do anything to it yet and I still use it all the time. It's made in puppiesan though, I couldn't find a USA jack even in 1978. Quote Selected

floor jacks. what do you have Reply #10 – February 22, 2007, 02:16:34 AM no not the aluminum crafts man the black and yellow one also the grey one. they get up to the car quick but takes a million pumps to get the car up. not fun when your lining the front end up and have to adjust the tie rods a few times Quote Selected
floor jacks. what do you have Reply #11 – February 22, 2007, 10:31:54 AM Well, craftsman has more than one aluminum jack...they have one that is all aluminum (and $$$), another one that is steel and aluminum (quite a bit cheaper), I think they might even have another all aluminum one.I used to work at sears and I honestly wouldn't even buy one of their aluminum jacks. Every one we ever sold, I saw come back within a month or so because it was broken. Quote Selected
floor jacks. what do you have Reply #12 – February 22, 2007, 10:57:47 AM Just a regular large-sized 3-Ton shop jack and 8 2-1/2 to 3-ton jack stands. Quote Selected
floor jacks. what do you have Reply #13 – February 22, 2007, 03:08:57 PM Oooohhhh.... You guys were talking about hydraulic jacks. My bad. :D Quote Selected
floor jacks. what do you have Reply #14 – February 22, 2007, 03:48:29 PM I have the black and yellow craftsman one. Takes about 2-3 pumps to fully extend it when it isn't under a car but the extra pumps with the car on there aren't bad. I'd rather do that than constantly crank a factory tire jack. :hick: Quote Selected
