E-Bay, sometimes I dont get it

I need a lense for one of my foglights, it was broken when I bought the car (86TC).

There was a set of used foglights for an 87-88 on ebay in nice shape, they sold for  $20.50.  I didnt bid because all I want is a lense and the 87-88 fogs mount differently than my 86s.  So I figured Id let them pass since I couldnt use the housings.

So I started watching 1 used lense.  It sold for $26.32.

I should have been greedy and bought the 87-88s.

So I still dont have a lense.

Yea, for mint condish Fog lights for our older cars are pretty steep in price if you buy from evilbay or from a member. I would say go to a bone yard and pick them up for under 10 dollars. But thats just me. :)

The Marchals used on the 83-86 cars are a bit more "valued" than the 87-88 TC lights...

That's because I had the 87/88's remade! :hick:

Unfortunately, Hella destroyed the mold for the 83-86 Marchal's when they did the buy-out. No more cat's head...

The day I sold a pair of new, unused door trim pieces from a late 90's Police Interceptor (the rub strips on the front doors, not installed on police vehicles because the front doors usually have the police dept info on them, but included in the trunk when the vehicle is new) for $252.50 (and actually got paid) was the day I knew I'd never understand eBay. These parts are available at any dealer for about $10 (my opening bid was $5).

The day I sold a new take/off center console from a 2000 Jimmy for $250, then got paid promptly but the buyer didn't include his shipping address, then had to badger him for three months to get this info with no replies, only to have him write me and tell me that he didn't reply because he was posted overseas and then send me another $50 for hanging onto it for him, only cemented my dismay.

I sold an LA3 last year for over $500. Starting bid was $20, Buy It Now was $50.

I bought an 88TC Pro Stock model for $5 after being outbid to $75. Both were from the same seller and had identical listings.

In 2005 I bought a MINT in the box FMS ducktail spoiler. $202.50 shipped. I've been offered over $1500 for it since then on more then  one occasion.

Those fogs for $20.50 were mine! I never understood the bidding either...I never sell anything for alot of money, but when I need something I have to spend alot.
