highway milage with 5.0 and 3.73

Can anyone tell me what to expect with 3.73's and 5.0 and AOD.  I dont mean putting at 55 (I would like to hear those numbers too)  but the usual 75-80 flowin with traffic.  I have 3.45's and with the stock tired SO was getting just over 20.  I hope my fresh engine can match that with the 3.73's.  I was turning about 2300 at 70-75 (speedo's off some now) what rpms can I expect at 75 with 3.73's

Hi
Well i've got an 87 TC with a 5.0HO,AOD and 3.73s
and i get about 300km to about $40.00 cdn
so i guess filling the tank at about $60 bucks with premium i'd probably get around 450, 500km to a tank(never fill it so don't know exact).
As for rpm's well at about 120kph i'm revin around 2500rpm if i remember correctly,i'll have to verify tomorow.
Hope this helps.

Dominator,  thanks for the reply but I bet I would have the gears in and a full tank run through before I could do all the neccessary conversions to get the answer with your input.  I'll bet you know the answer but are having fun with me? Thanks though,  Jay

I got 26.3 going to Carlisle PA last June, that was mix of 60-70 mph(yea I was suprised). It got 22 running around Carlisle and a trip over to Harrisburg and back down into WV, still averaged 25.

Hey jaybo
I wouldn't mess with ya, all it cost me for a week of work is about 45.00cdn.
Engine has only been in the car about 2 and a half months now.
I did confirm however this morning that at about 120kph(75mph) i was revin 2500rpm.
Hope this helps.
