Read "Holidays In Hell" by P.J. O'Rourke some time. For shiznits and giggles he visits some of the worst places on Earth and tells the stories as humourously as one could tell a story about death and desolation. He visits Libya, the Gaza strip, Somalia, Poland, South Africa, Nicaragua, and other shiznitholes. It was written almost 20 years ago, but aside from Russia no longer being communist the book still applies. He puts himself into some truly stupid situations.

Anyway, read that book, then tell us we live just as badly as those people. A poor North American is rich in the third world...
