87 thunderbird TC w/premium sound

Ok. I have an aftermarket deck installed into my car already that does not work properly. No display. Anyway I picked up a new Sony CDXGT400 reciever and went to install it.Thats when I noticed that the previous owner has cut and hard wired in the old reciever.i also noticed that the rear speakers are run off a Harmon Cardon amp. All the speakers are stock Ford ones. So what the heck do I do here???Do I use the wires that he tapped into or what??? The factory system was a Reciever/EQ/Amplifier.I think I need help.

What I would do and plan to do is make your own runs... Wouldn't be too hard, but who knows? I hate it when people don't do stuff right the first time!!!

Makes you wanna whoop there butt!

Yeah. I know. I wish I could hunt him down for sport and......The guy I bought it from only had it as a winter driver, then I bought it off of him a few months later so....I will see if I can find this harness that is for the regular system. I have heard that it is hidden behind and above the glove box?!?!?!? Then I have to disconnect the amps and plug and play.......Well that is what the Nato site said I may have.
Thanks
Shane

OK. so I hunted for the connector over the glovebox area....No dice.So I found that the front speakers were not powered by the amp, so I just wired them up to the Sony harness. Then the rears I just ran new speaker wire.Just so happeneds that a friend at work happened to bring in a set of Alpine 6x9's that he was going to put in his 05 Focus.Well there is no cut outs in the rear deck for speakers in the Focus so I got them off him for $50 and put them in my rear deck.I also found out that Ford used rubber straps to hold in the rear speakers. That was awesome.I put the 6x9's in with the rubber strap and it was a 2 minute install. I cleaned up my mess and ran the new deck with the speakers.........Sounds great.
Well the install was easy but I took my time...Almost 3 hours start to finish but it is clean and all stock looking. Thanks for the help guys.
