What's up

What's up everyone?  It's been a little while but I'm back.  I see we have a new forum.  I've been out of the cougar stuff for awhile but I still have my car....and its in 1   piece.  I didn't part it out and she is currently in storage.  I got my Ranger project up and running too so I plan on being busy for awhile.  I had to take some time off for a spell.  The baby, house, and job has left little time for cars.  Things are slowing down a bit and I'm looking foward to spring.

Aimee: You still out there?  What's up? How is that 347?
FoxFord:  How's the bird coming?
Dare:  Are you still alive?
Dookie: Still up to no good?

Anyhow its good to be back,
see you around,
Bigcat

hey. welcome to the new board. dare seems to be lost for the last little while

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Its good to be back.
Jcassity: Aimee having a little traction problem eh? Might be time to bring it down a notch or invest in a four link!

Dookie:  You may fire when ready

Manson:  I've got most of the parts ready for the ranger project.  I've got an 88' std cab short bed Ranger.  So far its going to be a carbed 302, C4 tranny, and a TC 8.8. I've got the interior from a 89 Ranger installed but no carpet yet.  The 2.0 is still in it but not for long!!!
The truck is a florida truck so there is very little rust.  It has no power steering, no power brakes, or any other options besides A/C.  She is pretty light and even with the 302 she should haul.  I have enough 2.3 parts to do a turbo ranger setup too so I'm weighing my options.

The cougar is going to get paint/bodywork in 2005 sometime.  Not sure what color yet but the two tone brown won't be making a return.

So your back hu?  Are you just visiting or do you plan on staying awhile? :flip:

Ive changed my name and we have way more smilies, now I can flip u off  :deal:

Ive been off here for a week or so working on a top secret project for the cougar... that way if I fail miserably no one will ever no! :giggle:  The 347 is down for the winter :disappoin  kinda sucks since I just got it back. Weve already put new 42lb fuel injectors in it.. It needs to be tuned BAD! We only had it on the road like 5 times before we put it away.  It has already left us stranded once...the fuel line blew off on State rd. we had to use our truck to tow it home :bs:    The tires wont hook, we did a burnout and then tried to take off but it just left a trail of smoke and we barly moved :grinno: Once we thought the trans was sliping so we took the car home and drove the truck back out to see if there were back marks wich thank god there were!

Dare has left us for the 3.8 mustang site :bs:  whatever, I just talk to jcassity.

So how about you? I take it you got the job?  And a baby too  :wtf:  glad to see your back I hope you stick around  :)

I'm back for good, I heard you cannot keep traction on that 347 car  :wtf: so I figured I better come back,  :grinno: j/k I have some extra time so I figured I waste it with you guys.
The baby came and is doing fine, jury is still out on the jobs, both look good but the economy and construction are holding up any real deals yet :disappoin

Too bad on the 347 being out for the winter.  Good thing because we've been getting alot of snow lately.  My car is laid up too, so is the ranger because I have no money for them.  Havent been down to Westside in forever, is it still there?

I'll be around so if you get bored drop me a line.

Good to see ya back BigCat, I've been pretty busy getting married and stuff like that. Unfortunately, the bird met an early demise, so the current project is another LSC. I haven't done anything to it yet, but converthing it to coil springs is first on the list. It will be a while before finances allow me to build a motor for this one, so I'll have to just settle for the stock drivetrain for a little while.I lost your email address and mine has recently changed to jhblank@bellsouth.net

Congrats on the marriage Jason!  That's great to hear but the bird being dead is not so good to hear at all. If you need any help with the LSC drop me a line, my brother knows a little too much about LSCs :wtf:  so I'll put you in touch if need be.  My cougar is still down but I'm getting ready for spring. I'm also looking to get my ranger project up and running too.  As always if you need anything drop me a line, I'll send you my new email soon.
