5.0 Computer for friend......

Okay, (like I already said in my other post), I am looking for this computer for my friend and he asked me if I could find out any info for him. He has a Ranger with a 5.0 conversion in it and he believes it is a high out put "clone". He bought it like that about 4 years ago and the guy that did was a bit of a . Its using the firing order of a HO, but doesn't seem to have the proper computer, so it will hardly idle. He thinks the motor is an 87 or an 88, is there a huge difference or would any SD computer work? He's having trouble figuring out which computers will work and which won't....Thanks!

Yeah, he says he needs a speed density from an automatic. As long as he has had it, it has idled funny. It doesn't idle steadily. It idles like it's about to die. Like it's choking or something. He has always had trouble with the whole truck. It's not ONE entire engine out of ONE entire car. It's been all peiced together. Through all the research he has been doing, he's got it narrowed down to the computer.
