As long as you're happy with what you ended up with, it really doesn't matter what the rest of us think about it. More power to ya, at any rate.

My first T-bird is probably spending its last week in the front yard. I still like the car and wish I could've done more for it, but like shame302 and his Rustang, (I can't resist.. heh.. I still can't stand Mustangs. It's mostly in the name, since I happen to love Fox Capris) I feel like my Mark VII is superior to my T-bird and more pleasurable to drive. Driving that T-bird was "hey, this is nice".. but the LSC commonly elicits a " I love this car".. usually before flooring it. (OK, about 3/4 throttle) :p

Someday I'll pick up one that has more options and isn't saddled with that boat anchor of a V6.. or barring that, I'll finally do that 300 I6 project on one. (or follow in Chuck's footsteps and nag an Aussie I've known for a few years to send me a care package.. heh) My adjusted goal is now to keep the LSC long term, (not hard with only 99k on the clock) find the aforementioned T-bird after the yard's a bit clearer, and also find a 4-door Fairmont or Zephyr to go the 2.3T route with, for an ultralight Fox-based plaything.

Back to the F-body thing: Personally, the only F-body I'd own would be a throwback to my childhood days (and WAY up the nerd scale) and be a replica of KARR.. the "evil KITT" from Knight Rider:

But like I said, all that really matters here is that you're happy with yours.

I think it's an awesome looking car with killer performance right out of the box. There's only 2 reasons I couldn't own one... I'm 6'4" so I dont fit in those cars well and they're a nightmare to work on... as you'll find out when you replace that header gasket.

Hell, if some disaster struck and I lost both my birds I'd probably look at buying a used BMW M3 or possibly a GTO. Ford hasn't made a performance sedan with any kind of potential that really caters to my needs since the Fox Turbocoupes and SHO Taurus... (I hate the MN12's and the Marauder is too big)

I dont blame you for buying the TA. It's definitely a cool car!
