ed rocks!

Coming home from my g/f's house Saturday, within 400 yards of my house, just as I got off the interstate and am trying to get into traffic...  :brick:

*Thousandth of a second glimpse of a small dark thing coming at windshield*  I start to lift.  *Thwack!*  Windshield now has 1/2" long crack around an impact spot.  *rather long list of creative expletives formed in less than a second*  I begin looking for a vehicle likely to have kicked it up, none are likely.  Look for anybody whom could have done this so that I might introduce them to my cheater-bar and educate them in why things like this aren't done, there's nobody.  *expand on that list of expletives as I nearly powerslide a corner*

Home.  Indepth check for damage, enough of a glancing blow that it only caused 1 problem.  My windsheld now has 4 marks, the other 3 were there when I got her those were stable and didn't propigate any since '99.  New windshield is raised higher on list of repair items.

Looks like I better do some more bodywork so the universe will have more respect for my stuff...

Well,  you're in Indy,  just be thankful it wasn't a bullit!

That does suck though,  few years ago I had some stupid kid throw a rock and chip my windsheild cause I wouldn't give him a free pizza!.  I've also had rocks fall off gravle trucks and spider web a windshield before.  That sucks.

However,  if you do need a windshield,  I've got one,  can't guerenty it'll be here for long,  I had another guy interested in it,  But that was a few months ago,  But if you want it,  you're more than welcome to come take it off.

I know it could be much MUCH worse, it just really made me pissed!  A fresh windshield would be great, but right now my family's Aerostar is down, and since I still haven't found a job I'm pretty light on cash.  If you've got somebody interested, let it go.  Though once I've got some funds, I'll have to make a trip out there if you still have any donors, I'd like to make my 'Bird a bit less Base.

Good point, some parts of Indy I wouldn't have been suprised if it would have been a bullet.  But from your stories, it wouldn't suprise me if it was a bullet in ANY part of Brazil.  ;)

I wasn't gonna charge ya anything for it,  just come and get it if you want it.  I told a friend's brother that he could have it a while back,  (the whole right side of his windshield is busted)  But he never bothered to come and get it.  So,  its pretty much first come first serve.

I've actualy found a few bullet holes before,  someone blew out the rear window on a tempo I had once!

Thanks man, but as it is I'm not even sure I'd have the gas money to get there and back.  And I wasn't sure how cool it would be to try to walk out with a windshield, and maybe some various other parts off your donor without paying or atleast hanging out and grabbing some lunch.

Oops, I just ment the bullet part as a joke.  What did you find the holes in?
