does it run hot? it may sound crazy, but ive heard of the thermostat sticking closed and causing too much pressure, and coupled with a radiator cap that doesnt release pressure when it should, you get a split hose no matter what quality it is  :wtf:

Is it splitting in the middle or at the ends? could be a burr on the fittings or something.

2nd the T-Stat. Also the Rad cap.  If the T-stat doesn't open it can build up enough to crack a head. Also It sounds like the pressure between the Rad and the Block. See if you can get or rent a pressure tester. With the new hose on there check to see what kind of pressure it holds. The factory Rad cap is only like 16lbs. So is should hold up to that.
