Stupid question on a full digital dash...

Hi,

Last winter I swapped My cluster from a base digital cluster to a full digital (disco) cluster, I LIKE THAT!, all is okay, I swapped all of My sensor and the tank sensor, ect, all work good, EXCEPT the fuel economy (average mpg), the wire not connected is a "fuel flow sensor", normally connected on the pin 32 or 34 of the efi computer, BUT My Bird is a CARBED Bird...

I believe this fuel flow sensor is a kind of vacuum to electric conversion, but I don't know...

A fuel flow sensor exist on Ford for this application, or it leave it alone this function, It's not very very important, but the average mpg is always at 99mpg, and I'll like if this function work...

I remember a 1976 Marquis of one of My friend, he's car have a fuel economy light on the dash, this light comes on when the car run under ??? mpg, okay, this is a dry contact, not a variable resistor/voltage like My digital cluster need, but ?????

Any help will very appreciated...

Some of the older carbed Fords did have a fuel flow sensor installed under the hood. Look for early 80's and late 70's vehicles with the tripminder option (Crown Vics and Lincolns would be more common). Good luck finding one - I've never seen one myself

Thank You so much!...
