Rear end sway

Ive got a 95 cougar 4.6 that likes to sway at speeds over 45 mph.
At these speeds if its windy or I move the steering wheel back and forth the rear end sways like crazy! I have replaced all tires, springs and shocks front and back. (both rear springs busted) inpsected sway bar bushings, only thing I noticed was when pushing the rear of the car back and forth I noticed a popping sound coming from the passenger rear tire. With the car jacked up the rear tire did move ever so slightly. Like the tire wasnt lugged tight. Im not familiar with this type of rear end so I wasnt really sure what I was looking for and the haynes book was not helpful. I backed up the axle nut and re tourqued it. The tire no longer moves but the car still sways.
Any suggestions?

check the upper spindle bushings its a common problem in the mn-12 cars

where are the upper spindle bushings and how should I inspect them?>

If anyone is following this post, the driverside rear hub bearings shot!
Side I didnt check of course. Was replacing rear tires today when the service tech went to put the impact on the first lug and the entire tire moved in about 2 inches. Tons of play.:punchballs:

I have hade this car since it was a year old. Well maintained for its 200,000 mile journey. I thought that everything that needed replaeced was replaced. Shocks, struts, ball joints etc. I never thought about wheel bearing in the rear. Besides motor and trans is there anything else I should take a look at?

well at 200k miles id start looking at the bushings and checking them all
