Replacement 3.8 battery? October 19, 2006, 01:24:26 AM Well I think the battery in my car has had it. Once the car is running it does read 14.4 volts at the battery so I think the alt is ok. So I have been trying to get ahold of a new battery. So far Wal-Mart/Costco/Canadian Tire don't have any. I've bought 1 from CT, and 1 from a local auto parts store. Neither would fit. I don't want to have to make battery tray mods, I just want to drop in a replacement. I took out the tray and will see if I can get one tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with trying to get a replacement battery for their 3.8 cars?Jason Quote Selected

It was originally for my '86 5.0 convertible and is very small (I want to say it's a Group 27). But it happens to be perfect for the '88 3.8 battery tray, and I know it will fit earlier 3.8 trays also. Quote Selected

I know people that work their and they don't even buy stuff from them. Also I rember somthing about the A/c oil filters being the mexican version and they aren't the same as the american ones. They had a big deal about it when I worked in the acqusistions dept. Anyhow I'd steer clear of them for auto parts. Quote Selected
