Shaved door handles

Since some prick tried to break into my car a week ago... it's gotta go into the shop.  Now I was thinking what a good time to shave the door handles and lock.

I was looking at kits on Ebay and notice they seem to rate kits on weight.  Range from 15lb to 60lb at the highest I've seen.  As I own a TBird I know how big these doors are :)  So what kit should I aim for?

This is the kit I used http://www.commandoalarms.com/itm00031.htm and I think it's the same one that Will used as well (weasle). Works great, so something along those lines should be good.

Just some food for thought......be sure to check your local vehicle laws before shaving the handles as some munilities have laws against doing this mod.

As well as any dragstrip enforcing IHRA or NHRA rules. I wanted to shave mine, but I wanted to race more.  :wtf:

Good point! I'm not allowed to race at FFW, but I can race at normal street nights at New England Dragway

Does NHRA rules allow one side to be done?

No...has to have two 'cause you never know how a car could end up if it crashes.

This is the same reason a lot of states don't allow it...in fact if I remember correctly most do not allow it.
