shifter conversion

Has anyone converted fron a colum shifter to a floor shifter? i am wanting to put in a full console in and would like a floor shifter too. how difficult is it? i have the AOD trans.

I did mine long before I found this website/forum.I actually did pretty much what the article did.I added the factory floor pan part that the shifter bolts to.It was harder that way,but it's nice.I love the floor shifter.Good luck finding the cable.I didn't know that the brackets could be found on crown Vics and grand Marquis.I'm going to check out the local boneyard and grab them all if they are there.Hey,good luck.if I can help,let me know.
