H-pipe with cats Reply #1 – October 02, 2006, 10:16:03 PM Nate, I'd be interested in either h-pipe. Question is which would fit my 87 cougar? Also, are they in decent enough condition to help me pass emissions? I'm local so I'd pick up. Thanks, Crash Quote Selected
headers and intakes Reply #2 – October 02, 2006, 10:36:07 PM wow, glendora, that towns like 3 blocks long lol. yeah both h pipes should let you pass. the mustang one is in better condition. if you dont already have shorties, you can get a set of the ones i have and then it will all bolt up. the only issue is if you have a column shift car, you may have to clearance something. im pretty sure i got it to work before, but its been so long, lol. the h pipes fit fine tho. then you can buy a mustang cat back for your car and legthen it before the lers like 6" pluss like 10" on the tailpipes, or take it to someplace and have them make something for you, because exhaust shops are idiots and think that our cars can only have y-pipes showing up with a Hpipe already on the car should cut back on some of the confusion. headers and intakes Reply #8 – October 03, 2006, 04:58:21 PM well i got one picture before my camera battery died, the axle is in good condition, you should replace the rotors and pads tho, i just stripped it down and checked the teeth on the ring and pinion, there arnt any chips cracks missing teeth or anything. spins freely, and the t loc works good. nothing is sloppy eather, all very tight. the pads are just thin, and the rotors are origional. the calipers arnt frozen and everything came appart nicely when i checked it.
