Am I nuts?

Ok, all the time has come, I have no choice but to sell my beloved '86 cougar.  I lost the pics of it when I had to reinstall windows, but I hope to get some more soon (just gotta get down there and take more), but for those that don't remember, let me tell you about it.  Base cougar, red int. with two tone black and red dash, swapped 5.0 that needs injectors and a new ECU harness, black and silver paint, pretty straight body, little to no rust at all.  It also needs the 5.0 fuel pump installed (which I have) and a new DS seat motor (which I also have) and hood hinge bolts, 160 or so thousand miles on car, less on motor.  Now to my real question, is asking $2,000 as a starting price too high, I mean I know I will end up dropping the price, but is it too high to start at?  I need it gone REAL soon, so I'd probably go as low as $1,200, but I'd like to try to get as much as I can, so I can get a running winter vehicle.  So, am I nuts?

I would say 2k IF THOSE parts are fixed/replaced before hand. I doubt anyone is going to pay 2k for a car that doesn't run. Just my two cents.

and if you have the parts and can get it to run. why sell for another POS that you will just have to fix anyway?

besides the fun of driving a rwd v8 in the snow.

Thanks guys for the honesty, that's what I was hoping to get.  As far as getting it running, I'm strapped on funds from attempting to get myself out of a nearly $70,000 medical debt.  That and I now have the state breathing down my neck to get it out of where it's at, and I have no place else to put it, as I have just last week been asked to find a new place to live.  All that and I already have a 4wd truck lined up to buy, just gotta sell the cat to get the funds.  Believe you all me, if there were any way at all possible I could keep the car, I would, but it's kinda hard trying to find a place to store the car, and find a new place to live, and come up with the money for the truck; especially when my own bank won't let me take out even a $500 loan.

EDIT/UPDATE

Just got off the phone with the state police, I now have until mid November to have the car gone or I pay a fine and have the car taken away from me (impounded with no chance of getting it back).  So, I'm gonna be posting it up for sale here locally at $1,500 obo, and if it don't sell within a month, I'm gonna part it out and send the rest off to the syard, hate to do it, but now more than ever I have no choice.
