Post by: 88_302_tcoupe on July 19, 2006, 11:23:51 AM
Just being my curious self, I was woundering how many birds were made with them?  From what I've seen they're pretty rare, but they do exsist.  Anyone on here own one of have a picture where it looks good with it?

i had one on my LX, and it looked like ass. had some rust under where it attached above the windshield, and rear window. and got very dirty and extreamly hard to clean, i just took it off. it was a real pain tho, that glue under it was a mofookie to get off. i thought i had a pic, but i musta lost or gott'n rid of it. it was a 88 LX tho, white with blue top.

None were "made" with the ghetto roof - they were applied by aftermarket companies. Ick, I say. Ick.

Does that apply to the cougars as well?  Because I've seen many of them running around, and I don't like them either.

On the '83-'87 Cougars (except XR-7), there was a factory option for a rear half padded vinyl roof.

Practically here in mexico all the cougars have vinyl roofs, like the "city edition" of the united states. I like mine, but is not very easy to maintain it clean and shinny....
