Title: Its a Ford at least.
Post by: cougrrr302 on May 31, 2006, 11:53:23 PM
I've been working on my Escape lately. I decided, that I will concentrate on a stereo for it, and a resto for the 84 as soon as I sell my 86(will be in for sale section soon). Well I bought a Rockford Fosgate 300.1 amp for my P1s. I had them installed this morning. They sound awesome. Minus the cone messing up on the left one, and the remote bass control freaking out. I kept my factory head unit also. Here are some pics of the box I built(way too big for the 10s) so Im back to building a new one. I got some pics of it carpeted(which i did on my bday) and the finished product from today. Enjoy.

The cone is starting to seperate from the ribbing. I pulled the "beauty ring" off to find the leak, thats how i found the hole. Now I have to call Rockford, dammit. I need to get a pic of where the remote bass is mounted. Underneath the steering wheel. Nicely hidden.

, nice box man.  Oh so I never did figure out what the different types of boxes were.  Is that a bandpass, or a ported box?

Bandpass is where both sides of the sub are enclosed... i'm pretty sure. Thats a ported box

Its ported. I had bandpass in the Cougar. This one has tightened up port spaces to make it deeper. Ported is loud, this tightens it up and makes it deeper.
