Title: Have computer problems? Help yourself by reading this thread first
Post by: Thunder Chicken on December 11, 2004, 10:01:18 AM
If you have a computer problem or question you can help people help you by including the following basic information in your post:

Type of computer (laptop, desktop, etc)
Platform (Mac, PC, Fisher Price, etc)
Chip (Intel, AMD, etc)
OS (the version of Windows, Mac OS or Linux you're running)

Also, if you're having specific problems it would help to include information pertaining to that problem. If you're having a Word problem, what version of Word are you using? If your motherboard is harassing you what kind of motherboard is it? If your sound card isn't working, what kind of sound card is it?

And one more thing: If you've already tried a bunch of stuff, let us know what you've tried!

Remember, when asking for help it makes it much easier for people to help you if they know what you're dealing with.
