Well....that's the first 2.3T 87-88 Cat I've seen...and sorta takes the fun out of me doing that one day... Nice car though...I'd buy it if I could.
i have to agree, it's the first one i've seen as well. very interesting.
um...... with that carfax report it would NOT be CFI... as i beleive they went to EFI in 87 over the old CFI unit ;-) the report says 3.8 CFI/2bbl. it just something i noticed...... but that aside.... car is alright aint a huge 87-88 cat/bird fan
88 is EFI 3.8. 87 should still be CFI.
Sounds like somebody liked the cougar but didn't like it with the 5.0 or the 3.8, so they did the unspeakable a turbo 2.3. Notice he also didn't call it a TC, LS, or XR7.
Yeah I noticed as well...no signs of a model...but he says it was restored leading most to believe, who haven't spent years around this place or these cars, that there were 87 and 88 2.3 turbo Cougars...
I just wanted to be the first to do something haha. So that idea is out. I haven't heard of anyone doing a true HID in an 84 XR-7 yet...with functional high beams also....or and AWD Coug...but as stated before....that is a LONG term project with no real timeframe as to when it will get started or completed or any details such as year or engine choice yet. ;)
well that is a nice cat. :idhitit: but also no one has even thought of a v-10 cougar:evilgrin: and that is my dream project. once i hit the lotto. since its gonna take alot of chasse strengthening to even handle the power output of that motor. but a man can dream right.
well its not an AWD cougar, but dont forget about this classic 4x4 cougar, she's a beut ain't she?:giggle:

There's an AWD Supercoupe over on sccoa.
got a link? i gotta see this
I've seen the pictures before, so I know it exists. Sccoa will make you pay to be a member to view the pictures, though.
I meant fox Cat...BTW. I've heard of that MN-12 AWD Cat before. So my dream still lives...
