Title: First day at the track today
Post by: 1WLD BRD on April 10, 2006, 01:19:35 AM
Took the '88 Stang and I finally have my first 13 second timeslip.:tg:  Only got to do it once though as I don't have a helmet yet.:D
Ran 13.969 @ 103.50MPH on 17" bullit rims with street rubber.  Not bad for a stock 5.0L with a bottom end about to grenade.  (REALLY bad bearrings)  I redline shifted every gear 1-3, and was on the rev limiter in 4th at the mph stripe,to get that 13sec. slip:hick: :fart:

I went to the track with the intent of getting a 13 or breaking the motor triing.  guess I can rebuild the motor now and go for a 12.99:rollin:

yep all tracks that enforce the NHRA/IHRA rules.
"all convertibles and any car running 13.99 or quicker.  plus any cars with rollbars driver must wear a helmet with a Snell 90 rating or higher"

103 mph will get you a 13.3/13.4 with a good 60 ft time, sounds like you were spinning badly...
