I agree with Scott! That interior looks comfy.
She's quite the shagy beast.. too bad it's not 5 speed, but I read in the other thread you'll be swapping one in. Nice.
Yeah the auto kinda suck's but hey I can alway's swap that T-5 in.
Obviously I will have a whole bunch of cleaning and detailing to do.
kyle
I really like the color scheme
Nice lookin' cars ya got...
Your XR7 makes me wanna find a 4 eye...Not too many around here where I'm at, let alone as nice as yours.
Welcome to the Forum, btw.
lookin good there kyle:bowdown:
Thanks guy's. I'll post up the new pic's of the XR7 when I get her home.
I can't wait for it to warm up around here so I can get all three of them ready for this summer.
kyle
That interior looks very nice!
Agree with the interior looking good. I think the colors on the backseats look good it's amazing how good of shape they are in. Nice car, can't wait to see it cleaned up.
Kyle,
Looks very nice, looks like a near twin to mine. :D
When you get it home, can you do me a favor and take a close up, legible picture of the buck tag?
Brent
Will do. Anything inparticular that your looking for on the buck tag?
I actually just found a set of ten hole's with the cougar center cap for the car so now it's even closer to being your twin. :D
kyle
I removed mine to install a Motorsport intercooler. I saved it but after 15 years and 2 moves, it's no where to be found. I'm going to try and duplicate my original bucktag so I am trying to get as many examples of other '85 XR-7 buck tags as I can to decifer the codes and be as accurate as possible.
Thanks,
Brent
Hey no problem.
If your working on the buck tag code's you may want to check out http://www.foureyedpride.com it's mostly mustang stuff geared to the four eye car's but they have lot's of buck tag info.
kyle
Agreed, that is a great board over there. I used to frequent it quite a bit until I sold my '86 Capri (asc/McLaren EuroCoupe) last fall.
From the few tags that I have info from, there is suprisingly much less stamped on the Cougar tags than what is on the Mustang/Capri tags.
Brent
Where you registered over there? FEP has a "other" forum now for the "other" foureyed car's like the older tbird/cougar fairmint etc etc.
Anyway I'll get a pic of that tag as soon as the car is in my garage.
kyle
I am "ascMcLarenCoupe" at FEP.
I didn't even notice that they added that to the forum, cool thanks.
Brent
Nice XR7:D It has the same wheels my Tbird does (well at least when you bought it).
Nice cat! Just wondering something did they use plastic cladding on the sides of the XR7s? Because i was thinking of making my GS into an XR clone with a TC hood.
The plan you outlined for an SVO XR7 sounds pretty cool. That's something along the lines of what I wanted to do to the car, but didn't have the time or resources around here to get it done. Being the same color as your Saleen, the XR7 will go nicely with it.
Enjoy the car.
For all the photo junkies...I deleted most of the ones I had on my web space, but here's one of the XR7 on the trailer ready for delivery along with one of Evil86Saleen's Saleen.

Hey Scott.
I already pulled the bunk turbo and started getting her back on the road. All of the guy's came over to check it out like ten minute's after you left.
BTW we forgot to toss that H pipe on your trialer before you left. I'll bring it with me on saturday if I remember.
kyle
It's too bad I missed everyone when I had to blaze a trail to the North. I start forgetting things when I get in a rush. I remembered the H-pipe when I was half way home. Yesterday when I was showing the wife all the parts (she really didn't care, but she pretended to be interested), I realized I didn't pick up the one valve assembly for the E7 head either.:dunce:
See you in Pueblo.
oops. :D
I got saturday off so I should be there. I may just drive the cougar if I get enough time to mess with it.
