all right this is really startin to bug me, but whenever i drive, i hear a buzzing sound and there's vibration in my gas pedal and shifter. i dont know what it is. it started happening after i got my transmission fluid changed(owner before me never did it). could it the fluid pump? or the cables? i dont know. thanks

Mine has done that on my cougar since I bought it.  That was over 50,000 miles ago.  The tranny is still kicking.  If I move the shifter around a little bit it stops or gets much quieter though.  My guess would be that its in the linkage... just a guess though.

Yeah its in the shifter linkage going to the tranny rubbing.  Mine has done it for quite some time...glad I'm not the only one who has that annoying little problem.  I usually just wiggle the shifter into a "sweet spot" and its not as bad.

The AOD valve body in certain years is know for buzzing ther is an update from ford that fixes it. U need also updated gaskets for the valve body and seperator plate. Or if u can get a valve body from a AOD just before they went to the AODE it should fix it.
