Title: Electric fans
Post by: sum_weirdo on January 23, 2006, 10:59:16 PM
Been thinking of sping my 302s factory fan in favour of an electric one.  Without that drag I count on getting a few more horses and maybe more efficient cooling.  But if I can help it I'd rather not buy a new aftermarket fan because they're overpriced.  Anyone know of an ideal junkyard fan?  And for that matter how about a higher capacity alternator to power it?  Anyone know?

A e-fan from a 3.8 Taurus or front drive Continental, work nicely in our cars. :D

or a mark viii fan, they flow nearly as much as some of the better aftermarket units and are oem quality.

I tried a MK VIII fan, it was too thick to fit between the water pump pulley and radiator, at least without tpuppies it down alot.:D
