Title: h.o.conversion 5 litre

Does anyone know what comression ratio and horse power to expect when installing e7te heads,19# inj.,h.o pleneum,mass air,h.o. cam;  on an 86 roller block with stock flat top pistons?

compression wont be much different than one with valve reliefs. Youll probably make the same 225ish horsepower as an HO 5.0

From what I've seen, compression nears somewhere around 9.5:1 with flat top pistons and E7's.  Bu that's what the calculators say...

Yeah it is 9.1:1 Stock HO motors are actually 8.9:1

so how with flat tops do you get more?  is it bc of the valve relifes in the pistons ?

190-220 flywheel h/p on a fresh stock spec shortblock.

I thought H.O.pistons were dished with valve relief?Are 86 flat tops cast?

HO just has valve reliefs, no dish
