Title: Shipping Wheels.
Post by: Ether947 on January 21, 2006, 12:54:32 AM
Who is the best carrier to ship wheels with? I found a decent set of wheels online but shipping doubles the friggin cost. UPS wants $45 per wheel... or so the seller says. My buddy bought some wheels on ebay and only paid $50 total for shipping for UPS, what gives? Am I getting the shaft? Thanks in advance.

Antonio.

You are getting the shaft, wereas I have no idea on carriers I do no that tire rack charges around 45 for 4 tires, almost the same weight as a set of wheels and a lot bigger.

yeah, depends on where where they are located and where you are obviously but every time i have dealt with wheels it was on average 18-22 a wheel.
45 a wheel is a pretty good porking....

(edit) used the up's dude....

I paid 100 for the package that I just got.  I went through UPS and they came from Florida.
