Hey slamedcat, did you do that in autocad?

Yeah when boredom takes over I start getting all these stupid ideas for stuff to do on my car...and usually also get an itch to buy parts. I also cycle between the same 3-4 websites continuously even though very little of anything new is on them.

No a little more advanced. Pro/E 2001. Here (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=3341&highlight=intake") are some more pics of stuff I have done out of boredom.

I've done stuff like that in Autocad 2000 :dunno: must not be THAT advanced.

I'm using Inventor 8 (would like a newer version..but that's what I have).  I am not an ACAD fan myself having trained on Pro/E.  I don't think in ACAD, I think in 3D.  I have the Inventor (even though it's an ACAD product) because I got it for cheap and I can't afford the Pro/E price, but I needed a good standalone modelling program.
I just don't have enough time to spend getting too involved with it.

We use Inventor 10, (11 is on its way) which is DVD based now, and I can't imagine a more user friendly modler. I remember doing 3D in Autocad 2000 (we're on Mechanical Desktop '06 now) and the switch to a dedicated 3D Mech. program was like candy. That was 7. Autodesk subscriptions are great. I'm just glad I don't have to pay for it.

I was kinda waiting for him to edit in something about kicking the dog, too.. :p

I actually had a teacher in 7th grade who told us at the beginning of the year not to piss him off, or he'd go home and beat his wife and kick his dog. I don't think he lasted the whole year, especially not after incidents like threatening to pull out my fingernails with a pair of pliers.. somehow neither my parents nor the prinl found that too amusing.. :D

As for the bored thing: My last boredom-induced project was building a pipe for a friend.. out of a new piece of 40" brake line coiled up with a tubing bender, a coffee can filled with ice and water to cool it, an adapter fitting from Home Depot, and a bowl from a bong. :p

I wouldn't call 8 'only'. It's still a very capable program that we were still using a year and a half ago. For most people, the differences between 8 and 10 would be pretty much nil.

He insisted on it. I was going to try to drill a small hole in the end of a copper pipe cap or something like that.

Then again, if you had a bowl with that much resin buildup, you'd probably "cheat" and use it, too. :p

My High School Prinl was arrested for beating his wife. Everyone in school got a great kick out of it when he came back to school and you could see he was wearing a "wife beater".
