I have an 88 T-bird 3.8...If i get a chip, would it be worth the money? Is it easy to install?

No and no...

Actually I have no idea if there is a chip out there, but your money would be better spent on other upgrades.  Better intake and exhaust for starters.

I don't think that chips do anything unless you have modified the engine (ie: heads, cam, intake ect) and you are getting a chip burned to take advantage of the mods. In a stock motor it wouldn't do much of anything and it might even hurt performance.

They do sell chips for a stock HO 5.0 but to my knowledge not a '88 3.8 Bird/Coug... That said a slight increase in timing will help performance, which is 80%-90% of what a chip would  do anyway...
