Title: Seat Installation (Brackets)
Post by: sscobrapride on December 14, 2005, 06:02:39 PM
For those of you that have aftermarket seats installed, I was wondering what you guys did for brackets.  I have dual power seats and I just bought a seat of racing seats.  I found out the the stock tracks are too wide and too long.  I've seen places online talk about building your own brackets out of gauge steel but I wanted to see what you guys did for a solution.

i got the fox mustang seat brackets from holcomb motorsports. they fit my poly drag seats in my tc no prob. i also got the adj slider kit but it mounts the seat too high  making my head too close to the roll cage for nhra rules so i had to do it without the sliders. oh well........

fabrication time

I used the factory part that bolts to the floor (disected) and welded angle steel for mine. the universal mounts will also work that they sell for those seats but you have to drill new holes uin the floor.

my seat is a kirky seat but gives you an idea
